Looking down the Valley of Hinnom along the southern wall of Jerusalem
128 Jerusalem from the Mt. of Olives
Looking down the Valley of Hinnom along the southern wall of Jerusalem. It is believed that the Jerusalemites burned
their rubbish in this valley. If true then this is why Jesus used this valley as a metaphor for Hell. "28 And fear not
them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able
to destroy both soul and body in hell [origianl Greek: gehenna]." (Matthew 10:28)
